My son has been working through beginner coding projects and has built a webpage that he wants to share. How do we go about this? I'm completely clueless.

He's written out all the code on notepad and it works beautifully on our laptop but he can't share it. Do we need to buy space online? I'd love to help him he's so proud of his work and wants to show his friends.

I'd really appreciate some help. Please answer gently and as though I am a complete tech dummy! Thank you

Save the notepad file
Email it to the friend with instructions

This would work fine for what could be called static pages (html, css, JavaScript, etc.).

If he's wanting it to be an actual site, it'll need to be hosted. Have a google for free site hosting, I'm sure they are around (we use our own servers at work, so I haven't had to look up hosting for years). The only drawback with free is, they'll more than likely inject adverts into your pages, but it's a start.

Sounds like he is doing a great job!! Smile

Don't use GitHub Pages, far too confusing for a newbie. Go with Trinket.io. He can also do some css if he wants to play around with the styling.
