Webcam not recognised by W10

Purchased a Lovebay 1080 webcam for video calls. Initially it seemed to work fine - plugged into usb, loaded driver, preview on Teams ok. However first time we tried to use it, although the Teams preview was successful, it would not work for the session. Instead message says usb device has malfunctioned and is not recognised. Cannot find where to delete/reinstall the driver as the camera is not listed under Devices. Any ideas please?

Try Device Manager. You have to type that in the search box to get at it.

Device Manager or the webcam?

Webcam, checked through the various audio and visual devices listed.

It should appear under cameras. However, if the computer doesn't recognise it at all you simply need to try re-installing it. Open up Settings, Devices and click on "Add device" (may say "Add Bluetooth or other device" if you've got Bluetooth on your PC).

I'm assuming Windows 10
Try the camera on a different USB port (it may be a voltage problem). Try camera on a different machine.
Here's a link to camera trouble shooting.

Thanks. Have now tried different usbs and to Scan for Hardware Changes but to no avail. Think will have to notify seller.
