I'm going to assume you're using a phone and you know how to use it to play audiobooks. If not, get yourself the Audible app and go wild.

Does your car have a headset that allows a bluetooth connection? Use that.

Does it have a USB connection instead? Use that.

Does it have a 3.5mm jack connector instead? Use that.

If it doesn't, it probably has a tape player? Get one of these: www.amazon.co.uk/IOMAX-Car-Cassette-Adapter-Black/dp/B001AZKRQ6?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

If you have a Kindle that plays audiobooks, it has a 3.5mm socket and/or if it's a fancy one will have Bluetooth. Use either!
