Twitter - more idiot stuff than geeky stuff

I used Twitter briefly last year and having cut back on most of my online stuff to stop spending so much time on it, I thought I'd just look at a few Twitter posters now and again instead. But when I logged in the layout has changed and I can't find the following tab - if I search google it brings it up but where is it on my Twitter pages without searching google each time.
Driving me nuts - and most info online is the about the old format. I don't use fb so not used to these social media sites.

Also am on a laptop not a phone.

On the left hand side click on your own picture icon.

Tried that but it doesn't show it.
Just has my pic and

Then
Tweets. Tweets and Replies Media Likes

No following
I have just updated chrome but am using windows 7 , maybe it's that

Have logged out and in - still nothing

This is how it should look. I can see who I am following by clicking the sunset pic (my own profile pic) on the left column.

Found a way - if I type /following at the end of the web address it takes me there.

This is the page I was looking for which I have found a way to get to (as above) .
As an old glimmer I find it exasperating and normally just give up,
