Please help, I've deleted the dvd film of my dd's party!

Please can anyone help me?

I bought a new digital camera recently to record my dd's 4th birthday party. It's the first time I've used one and I think I've made a really bad mistake.

The photos and the movie clips of the party were all mixed up together on the chip. I copied the contents of the chip on to my computer. I then went through all the photos on screen deleting some of the really bad shots. I then did the same thing using the delete function on the camera. I then took the chip to be processed at the photo shop. I asked for the movies to be put on DVD and the photos to be processed on to hard copy.

When I looked at the DVD just now, all of the films were there apart from the most special one featuring my dd blowing out her cake candles (it's also special because some of my relatives who I won't be seeing again are included in the movie clip too.)

Please can anyone help? I think I may have deleted the best - most precious - movie clip thinking it was a poor photo. Is there any way that I can possibly retrieve it please? Please??? Apologies in advance if I've used the wrong technical language - this is all new to me - hence my stupid mistake!!

Have you looked in the recycle bin?

Um, thanks, where is that please?

Should be on your desktop - blue bin with green arrows on it and should be labeled 'recycle bin'. Anything deleted goes in there until you remove it.
