My friend & I were messing about on the pc last night as you do when DH is on a boys weekend away & I think we downloaded something a bit iffy (ok it was gay porn cos we'd never seen any )
We found videos that played on windows media player but she accidentally clicked the rip tab on the player & I presume it's downloaded them somewhere. I cannot find them anywhere & DH is back tomorrow, he will kill me!! Help save my marriage & possibly my life (slight exaggeration I hope).
I have looked in every possible drive & folder I can think of but haven't found anything. Gone back to player & only mpegs I can see are ones that we have in My Videos.
TIA.

ok hun what you need to do is go into control panel and click on add or remove programs then it will bring up a list of programs that are installed on your pc. scroll through and you will see the one you want to delete then click on this and click remove and it will remove it from your pc xx

You need to make sure you delete all your cookies or some images may still be in there. Its under 'internet options' in 'tools'.

Have you tried windows search (should be in the start menu)- should be able to find it through there.

Have done both these things but thought it might still appear as a history item when you open the player. It doesn't appear to do so do you think I'm safe & our secret life as perverts need never come to light

Ok, deleting programs won't get rid of any downloaded videos as they aren't programs, they're files, so there's no need to go to control panel.

The clips you downloaded are probably being stored in your temporary files folder. What you need to do is follow this path:

My computer> C Drive> Documents and Settings> (Your username)> Local Settings> Temp

Then just delete all the files in that folder, and they'll be gone.

If you're still worried, go to Start menu, click on "Search" and do a search for picture music and video, but just select "video" then type in .mpg or .mpeg (if you're sure they were just mpg files) into the search bar and let it search your pc for all video clips. Then delete any offending clips.

Lastly, empty your cache/browsing history so he can't see what sites you've been looking at, then empty the recycle bin and you're done.

And next time your friend is over, look at ratearod.com as it's hilarious!
