Alternatives to Famcal & google calendar?

DH, DD & I use a joint calendar

Currentl Famcal as the google one won't sync on out phones

But Famcal only shows a small verticle coloured line next to an event to differentiate between people
When it's a multiple day event it shows the whole evnt as that person colour

Is there another calendar that will display in this way?

DH and I have iPhones and so we just use those calendars. I set up a joint family calendar as well as my own personal one, so I can see everything. DH has the same. It's really easy to set up and use.

We don't have iPhones

Famcal is great & very easy to use apart from this tiny bug (for us - may not affect all people)

We use cozi, but I don’t know how compatible it is for syncing with other calendars.

That looks quite good - what does a 'month' look like not sure I've seen it on the webiste

Are you sure you cant make Google calendar work? It should work on all android phones? We have a family google calendar that syncs across 5 different android phones.

I use the calendar app from the playstore and have the day and month widgets on my home screen. Each person is colour coded. I just added each persons calendar in.

yes, try harder with google calendars...goodness knows how many emails addresses we have between us but they all speak nicely, and the only nuisance is that if one person invites another then the event doubles up on the day if they accept

you do have to rummage through the settings to get the permissions right iirc, but it's worked on all android phones and when dd had an iphone I am sure

I think the last time we tried I was still on Blackberry to be fair

Now we are all on android so maybe we should try again

I have spent an entire afternoon trying to set up google Calendar and it will not work - AT ALL

you have to give them all permission to speak to one another and THEN make sure everyone's default is ALL calendars, dh often manages to do something that means he has to edit entries to all calendars.

can you have a bash on a laptop, I can't remember how I did it exactly, but it was easier on the laptop.
