Sudden issues with Samsung s9 data usage

I've had an s9 for a while now no.issues
But this.last month it's eating data and I've no idea why. idea
Phone use no different.
I've had to buy two.lots of add on.data for the first time ever.
2 days into my new monthly data allowance and im already nearly 2gb d own!
help!

Go into your data usage and click on the mobile data bit and it should show the apps that are using up your data.

My oh had this problem with an iPhone - she had somehow clicked the option to check for emails every 15 minutes!

What do I do if an app is using loads of data??

Ok I’ve checked and turned off apps running in the background - could that be it?

This all started after the last update

Did you look at the list of what is using your data? Is your fb set to auto play videos even when not on wifi?

This shows I use most data on Samsung internet
