If you were upgrading (sim only) from an iPhone 5s, what would you get?

I need more memory badly, but don’t really need any other bells and whistles. On the other hand, I really don’t want to have to upgrade again next year because the operating system has become so huge and unwieldy that the older phones can’t run it (which is what has happened to my otherwise fine iPhone 5s). Any recommendations?

I’m going to buy it outright, possibly reconditioned.

And I don’t want anything ginormous - I don’t watch films or TV on it, and I have small hands.

My DH and I have switched to the Huawei honor 9 lite and 8x.

I switched to a Huawei too, the P20 lite and I have been really pleased with it. I haven't missed the iPhone at all.

Sorry, should have said that I’m locked into iPhones for various reasons, so while I would like not to be, it does need to be one. I was wondering whether an iPhone 7 would fit the bill?

I loved from a 5s - 6s then to the 8

Don't think there's much between the 7 & 8 of I'm honest - just the gb sizes they come in I think

iPhone SE - it's the same size as the 5.

I recently got the 8 and it just feels like a more powerful, faster 6S with tonnes more storage

Iphone 7.
Cheaper than an 8, and virtually no difference.
