Could someone help me with a really basic, step by step guide?
Thanks so much

Hit the Print Scrn button then open Word or Power Point, Click the Edit drop down menu then select .

At least that's how I would do it!

Thanks for speedy response. I have just tried that in word and it takes a (very small) snapshot of the screen I want plus to the right of that, my desk top picture which I don't want. Any ideas?

Hmm. Maximise the size of the screen you want so that it fills the whole screen?

Plus you can enlarge the image once it is in word (pull from the corner) and use the crop tool to cut out any bits you dont want.
Hope that helps!

If you hold down alt while pressing print Scrn, it just gives you the active window, not the whole screen

Thanks so much everyone. Mission accomplished!
