How can I learn complicated video editing stuff?

I've been using Windows video editing thingy (movie maker!) For years

And I keep having a block moving on to Lightworks but this weekend I started to understand it

Now I may need to upgrade but I want to blur out part of the screen or zoom in

How easy is that?
