Music dilemma

I wonder if one of you can help me? I replaced my desktop PC with a laptop a few months ago, everything moved across okay, all good. However, the new laptop does not have a CD drive. My DH has given me a CD for Christmas, it is an album he knew I really wanted. My dilemma is how to get it onto my iTunes library? We no longer have any way of playing the CD apart from through my phone and Bluetooth speaker.

I have an old laptop with a CD drive, but don't have iTunes on it. Is there a way of putting the CD onto this laptop and then using a memory stick to transfer to the other laptop?

Just seen this...

If you're still stuck then your old computer should have somewhat of ripping the CD into MP3 files (or something similar). On Windows there would be Windows Media Player or something. If you can provide some more information on what you've got then someone can help.

In short once you can get the music into a digital format iTunes should be able to handle it.

Or for about £20 you should be able to buy an external CD drive for your new computer that plugs into the USB port.

An external usb cd drive is the way to go . I use this method myself regularly to import cd's into iTunes
