I've just looked in my Spam in my emails and discovered loads and loads of messages from a porn site.
I haven't opened any of them. I've deleted them.

How do I stop them arriving without opening them?

I've no idea why they've been sent to me. Apart from the fact that I've been receiving other emails from American companies which have nothing to do with me either. I've opened them and unsubscribed, where I was able to.

That’s what your spam folder is for! Ignore them, they delete automatically anyway.

Do they?
Thank God! They made me really uncomfortable.

Thanks .

Literally everyone gets messages like that - they’re not related at all to anything you have or haven’t done. Sometimes they just use random strings of nonsense as email addresses, and sometimes they’ll strike lucky! Don’t bother unsubscribing either, as you’re just telling them it’s an active email address.

Ok thanks.

I really am rubbish at tech!

I've just had a look at my Spam folder - 'Lonely Asian Girls Looking for a Boyfriend', Hot Adults Dating (WTF is that), US Homeland Security (using a Japanese email address, that's believable), 100% Authentic Asian Ladies Online, two things about Herpes - and that's just the first page!

If you're using Gmail, you can set up a filter that will delete everything marked as Spam as soon as it arrives (rather than after 30 days). There's a risk you will occasionally lose something you actually want, which is why it's safer just to leave it set to the default.

Yes, definitely don't unsubscribe, you'll be inundated even more.

Lordy, it's a minefield!

I just had a look in mine. Mostly it's shops I've purchased from but I have a handfull of invitations to look at pics (presume porn), a handfull telling me I've won (thank god I can now buy that yacht), a handfull telling me I've done something wrong and the hmrc are after me. Interestingly though a handful of things I've presumably unsubscribed from that want me to confirm it - I presume this is actually spam too and that if I click I'll download something awful? I've just emptied the spam bin and then emptied the bin-bin. Anyway, don't worry OP. As you can see I had porn too.
