I would like to find a simple solution to limiting my teen using the internet late at night. I don't need to limit content as he is now 17. I would rather not do it at all, and realise he's a bit old for all this. I didn't need to with previous teens.

However DS stays online very late at night then can't get up sometimes. I only need it for a year, just to see him through A2. Just something that switches his access (mobile and Apple device) off at 11 or 12 would help enormously.

Is there a simple solution? I did see that BT has an app but it seemed to have mixed reviews.

Thank you!

Thank you. I'll look at it. I'm hoping to lock him out overnight and not others, as I have adult DS etc around, who manage their own time.

yes, you have to download it onto their phone in order for it to work

Ah. That might be trickier then.

If you have a BT router you should be able to log into it and set access restrictions for each device connected. You should be able to access the router settings by going to this address from any computer which is connected:

192.168.1.254

You will need to sign in using the password on the back of the router and from there you can set time limits etc.

This is impressive. Can you explain how to do this step by step please? Would it work on any providers home hub?

Hi!
You can read the step-by-step guide here protectyourkidz.com/hidden-spy-apps-for-android.html
But this is only for Android... Do you need this for iOs as well?

If it's BT, you need to download the myBT app on your phone, connect to your network on the setup process and enter the password for your router (on the back).

Once in the app, the netowork icon, bottom right takes you to a screen where you can choose 'manage device access' where you can put devices in groups and set individual rules for each device or group when the internet is disconnected.
