Downloading video onto my shiny new iPod...

I know you should be able to do it but how??? Can I copy DVDs I own onto it cos the Apple shop won't let me buy them from there cos I have a UK, not a US, account. It's not a size problem cos it's 80gb.
Please help oh techy ones...

Tee hee - have just looked at your profile page for any updated pix of the wee fella and we have the EXACT same wedding pictures but with different uniforms

Mine is away on one of those courses which is a piss-up in disguise so any pictures of handsome chaps in rubber are welcome!
I suppose I'd better get one of these profile-thingies if pictures are needed...
