DH and I do a lot of financial stuff online and as security gets more complicated I think we need to look at password managers. We have used First Direct Plus for a lot of banking but I think there must be a better way.
Does anyone have knowledge of pros and cons of different password managers? I have googled of course but a lot seem aimed at business use. We use PC / Laptop and android.

If you use a cloud based password manager like Lastpass then you have to trust the service provider.

I use KeePassX, which is very portable with versions for all the major operating systems, including a compatible Android app. The major issue is, if you are going to use it across multiple devices will be keeping them all in sync.

The 3 major password managers are: OnePass, LastPass and Dashlane. Dashlane is the smallest of the three, but seems to win the usability awards. LastPass got semi-hacked a few years ago (they stole e-mail addresses, but not passwords), and OnePass is the biggest, but they price accordingly.

I use LastPass, but have used the other two as well. Choose carefully - switching password managers is a real pain in the bum!
