How can I start a blog?

I have no idea where to start? Are there web sites that can do this for you? Do you need to buy a domain?

Yup, I've just resurrected my blog which, poor thing, had been dormant and unloved since 2003.

I'm just using it as a sort of family diary - let friends and family know what's happening in our lives, and maybe sharpen up my writing skills. No higher purpose than that, really. For that sort of thing I do recommend Blogger, cos it makes life soooo easy.

Thank you have registered and need to sit and work out how to use it but it looks fairly straight forward.
