Dd is moving up to Y7 and a new school. Her laptop is serviceable but we are thinking of getting her a new one - I will inherit her HP Stream 11.
Thinking of getting her similar or possibly a Google Chrome. She needs Microsoft package - can't afford Apple. I know this has been done a million times so forgive me if it's a bit of a dull question.
Thanks so much.

I’ve just got a Lenovo Ideapad for my school work (am a teacher) and am impressed so far. It was recommended by Which as one of their top 5 laptops under £500. I got it from JL in their sale.

Curry’s have got a HP one with quite a bit of money off at the minute, was about £500 and think it’s had about £150 knocked off. Every place I’ve ever worked has HP laptops for staff and they seem to last for ever. It’s got an i5 processor which I think is quite good.

DD starts S1 in August and they are all getting supplied with a Chromebook. They will use google suite which is the same as MS Office but everything is online. If you are in Scotland and your child has a Glow account you can download Office onto any device free

We're not in Scotland but that's useful info. Thanks.
