iPad, iCloud and photos synced via iTunes

I have 98 photos on my iPad that were synced via iTunes from a previous PC. I finally upgraded to 50GB of storage on iCloud but it says that these 98 photos can't be included on storage (which makes sense and I am fine with) but if I want to go ahead with iCloud storage then they will need to be deleted.

Is there any way that I can download those photos on to our pc in one swoop? Hope this all makes sense.

You could install google photos on the iPad and back the pictures up to there. You can then sign into google photos in the PC and download them. Or sync the iPad to the PC and copy the photos to the PC as part of the sync.

You can connect your iPad via the charging cable to the USB port on the PC, allow access on the iPad when the dialog box pops up and you will be able to see photos on the iPad in a folder and just copy them across to the PC.
