Is it worth replacing a hard disk on Compaq CQ58

Hi

I have a laptop- HP Compaq CQ58 that I rarely used, then when I got a work PC I used it less until one day about a month past it’s warranty the hard disk failed.

I left it in the back of my wardrobe but now I have changed jobs and am without a laptop...

Is it worth getting the disk replaced and the laptop fixed or should I just get a new one? And if so, which would people recommend?

If it’s worth getting fixed, does anyone have any idea how much it’s likely to cost for parts and labour?
