Am trying to edit my wedding video. Every time I add a clip to the timeline and try to 'trim' it, it turns green and I can't see anything. The audio plays fine but the preview screen and clip are green.

Any idease?? Driving me MAAAAAADDDDDDDDD!!!

Seems to me that you are missing a codec. A codec is how a piece of video is compressed - i.e M-peg4, 3 or 1; Sorenson etc.

Quicktime is a player, as is WMV and Real. They have a number of installed codecs as default. I would imagine (by the sounds of it) that your wedding vid is in MP4 and WMP understands the 2 audio channels (which MP4 encodes in an easy to read format) but doesn't have the necessary codec to understand the video.

The solution, IMHO, is to download an update to WMM that has additional codecs or find a codec for WMP for MP4. You should be able to find out by clicking on the movie what codec it uses.

I hope this helps and I hope I haven't gotten too geeky too quickly!
