Samsung Galaxy Ace continuously rebootng

Was about to email a photo when my phone rebooted itself and just keeps doing so. Never gets as far as the lock screen. Have tried holding down all buttons, taking battery out etc,but it seems from googling as if it is a power button issue and even tapping it won't reset it. Is this the end for the phone?

Pull the battery out and put it back in but yes the phone may have died.

Tried removing the battery but as soon as I power it up again it restarts the loop. No sound either. Might have to swap to dds old one.

Sounds as though it is a dead phone. IE broken!
