The more I look at laptops the more confused I get!

Hi there looking at a new laptop for business use. Using the usual office word, excel etc, a lot of photos and editing of images for uploading to website. Also use of quite heavy embroidery software (which recommends separate graphics card - but the fact it works currently on my ancient (probably 7 years plus old) decrepit Samsung laptop suggests it will work on any new laptop).
I am wanting speed and reliability. But I guess anything will be an improvement. I would like it to be nice and portable.
Thinking SSD, preferably i7 processor, separate graphics card (does this really make a huge difference as it really pushes up price and limits choice).
Have attached two possibilities. The Lenovo has no separate graphics card, but I understand Lenovo has far better build quality currently then HP.
Help oh wise ones!Confused

Does it have to be a laptop?

If you go for an SSD then it has about 6 years of life, less if you use it a lot.

Lots of photos would suggest 256GBytes might be on the low side unless they can be offlined. SSD does offer speed and reliability.

Before you rush off and throw money at MS Office give LibreOffice a try - it is free and has most of the same functionality.
