well, think my title says it all. I have got a Sony digital camera but my little girl dropped it and broke the lens and Jessops have said it will cost £150 to replace so may as well buy a new one.

Anyone got any recommendations? I want at least 5 MP and for it to have a video function to take mini vids.

Thanks

I have a Pentax Optio E10 it has 6m pixels and cost £129 last Sept on offer (£30 off IIRC) from Jessops. I just had a load of photos developed, including some 6X8s and a 10X12 and the quality is perfect. I love it. It will probably be under £100 by now. it doesn't have a viewfinder though, if you're used to one this may be wierd but I don't look for it, I like to use the screen HTH

We've got a Fuji Finepix E900 zoom which is an all singing and dancing compact with 9 mp. It's our second Finepix and dh who fancies himself as a bit of David Bailey swears by them. They have come right down in price now I believe.

I've just bought a Sony Cybershot W35 and it's really easy to use and takes great pics as well as being very small and light. It is 7.1MP and costs £112.79 from Amazon.

I researched for about a week before choosing it and read many online reviews.

we have an olympus mju waterproof to 3 m and drop proof from 1.5m, it records a snapshot of sound when you take a pic(optional) which can be fun, has lots of photo options, and can take video(not great quality ) but okay, we really like it
