This might sound like a really stupid question, but if are all vector images created equal?

What?

Basically, I need my business logo as a vector image. I have been quoted anywhere between £7 and £150 for creating it and am not sure why! Would the £150 one be better than the £7 one? I already have the logo as a jpg so there's no actual design going on.

Probably variance in skill level and what method they plan on using? Some vectors it's possible to automate from the base image but others need to be created from scratch. Doing something simple with geometric shapes and text also takes me far less time than hand drawing. The point of vectors is that the quality stays the same so technically you'll get the same quality file but there could be differences in how the designers replicate it and the amount of work they put into getting it right. I think your price difference probably reflects reliability more than anything else.

Thanks so much for answering QueenHalloween, I will go with one of the cheaper ones then.
