Tv sound hissing on scary but not hdmi?

Hi, don’t know if anyone can help, I’ve had this problem before but can’t remember how we fixed it! Sharp Aqueous TV, around 10 years old.

Tv started hissing last night, goes up or down with volume, no hissing when mute. Only hisses on Sky via scart lead, no hissing on fire stick via HDMI.

Can’t watch sky through HDMI as tv not compatible to HD box. (Picture keeps bleeping, sky engineer couldn’t fix).

Do I need a new scart lead? Is tv on way out?

Very grateful if anyone knows the answer to this.

Does the hissing stop if you move the scart lead slightly in its socket?
Scart leads are very heavy and the pins often seem to bend or get pulled slightly out of place- we had one that would only work when we pushed a rubber under the lead to hold it in position - worked like that for years, until we got a new tv!
