Which tablet would you pick for your teen from this shortlist?

It's to replace an ageing hudl for teen DS.

The options are:

Samsung Tab E 9.6"
Lenovo Tab 4 10.1"
Amazon fire HD 10"

We've had Samsung before and liked them.
Mainly to be used for YouTube /making videos etc. Have lenovo laptops and they've been pretty reliable. I've got no idea about the amazon tablets. They look pretty good value for money.

He has access to a laptop so no need to use it for homework.

The lenovo is running android 7.0 nougat whereas the Samsung is 4.4kitkat.

Would it be more future proof to get the most recent version of android?

I’d go Lenovo, newer android, more internal memory, better battery.

Amazon are good if you’re doing mostly amazon stuff like music, movies, kindle, etc. But it’s a proprietary operating system (fire is) so if he’s already bought any android apps he’ll have to buy them again. Also does not have the same range of apps available.
