Hi all
My ancient sony CD, minidisc!! and cassette !!!! system has finally bitten the dust. It was attaches to some good quality, but very old sony speakers by cable; it has 2 clips, + and - on the back of the speaker for the cable input.
We have amazon echo elsewhere in the house and I would like to connect a dot to these speakers; but would this work? Can the 21th century talk to something very much from the 20th?? Sorry I'm clueless and have tried googling but am none the wiser.
Thanks

echo dot has a line in connector, you’ll need to buy a cable that has line in on one end and rca on the other, then you’ll probably need some banana clips to go on the speaker wire from your speakers. Should be possible though!

thanks twobluefish that is really helpful, I have been googling cables (had no clue what to google before!)

That's good to know.. I’ve wondered the same.

Where did I read about a good deal on them?

The echo can use bluetooth too, you may be able to buy an adapter for your audio connection to make it accept bluetooth and connect it that way!
