dont you mean Windows Vista?

Visio's a programme you can use for doing different types of technical diagrams, like flow charts and things like that.

MrsBadger · 11/04/2007 11:30

it does technical drawing

NoNickname · 11/04/2007 11:30

AFAIK it's a program that allows you to design flowcharts - for project management, IT development and the like.

I used it once long ago to lay out websites, designing how each page connected to another etc.

Biglips · 11/04/2007 11:31

ooh sounds good

SoupDragon · 11/04/2007 11:31

That's what I thought, don't think I'll bother installing it Ta.

And no, Biglips, I don't mean Vista - my PC is too old to instal that on!!

Visio is really useful. I saved a fortune by doing the plans for our extension on it, instead of employing an architect.

Also, you can do illustrations for Word documents, it is much more sophisticated than the drawing tools available in Word. It can be used for all sorts of diagrams and pictures.

depends what else you have
if it's your only vector-based package then it might be worth installing, but if you have (eg) Xara, CorelDraw or Illustrator I wouldn't bother.

SoupDragon · 11/04/2007 16:25

I don't have any pof those. And one could argue that I have no need for any of them but it's here and I can't resist tinkering with these sorts of things.
