Win Zip disk tools

I have this coming up on my computer. It says it's scanning my system, then tells me how much disk space I could save.

My laptop is running slowly anyway, despite regular defrag sessions etc.

Is it of any use?

Should I buy it?

If not, can someone suggest something trustworthy to clean all the crap out of my system?

Many many thanks - I haven't a clue what to do ... x

I use winzip and it is useful if it is disk space that is slowing you up.

Another thing you can do is check to see if disk indexing is running turning that off can help speed the system

I'm guessing that this isn't actually the WinZip compression tools that I know and trust. Anything you haven't knowingly installed that claims to be scanning your system and offering to fix it is dodgy.

Steer well clear!

Cruel

Winzip tools are from the same company as Winzip compression. They are perfectly safe and if you aren't careful winzip compression can install them.

Ahhhh - i have just remembered - I already have a win zip driver installer on my laptop. That would explain why the other program is there. Hmm

Thanks for explaining everything. I know what to do now.
