anyone know if you can burn your downloaded songs from itunes to cd? I've heard conflicting reports on this.

I've managed it - there's an icon somewhere on the software that lets you do it.

Yes, done it loads of times. Not sure how though as iTunes is dh's dept.

Ah, yeah I'm the same, I don't really take to do with it. Actually asking for my mum who is wanting to start downloading music but wants to play back via cd. Cheers all.

Put all of the tunes you want on a playlist highlight the playlist and press the burn cd button. Make sure that you don't overrun the amount of mb that's on your disc, otherwise it won't let you do it. The amount of mb on your playlist will show on the bottom bar of the itunes window. Oh and use a cd-r disc not a cr-rw, otherwise you won't be able to play it back.

Thanks rantinghousewife. For some reason I was under the impression that copyright protection made it difficult if even possible. Guess I had that wrong, not even sure where I got that idea from in the first place

They are making changes to DRM, which is the mechanism that prevents you moving the file to use on non compatible phones etc (but there are ways around that!!) but once you purchase the tracks you are free to burn them to cds. And gosh, aren't I a deadly dull person!!
