Want to deactivate facebook and have a little break, I might want to re-activate after a while depending on how I feel. I do have some albums on there dating back quite far and I like to see the memories pop up sometimes, its also a place where I've sorta used it to store photos so don't want to lose this.
I've never deactivated before so not sure what happens.

Also there is a few groups I follow would I automatically re-join after reactivating or would I have to request again.

If you look at this link, Facebook tells you all about deactivating your account. I believe it tells you that all your pics etc are retained. Have a read.

No you won't lose them. I deactivated mine over 18 months ago, logged in last week & all still there! Grin

You can download everything prior to closing your account. All of your photos can then be saved onto your computer. Then there's no need ever to log back onto Facebook.

Closing my account was one of the best things I every did. Very liberating.
