Can you get SkyTV or Virgin when you already have broadband from BT?

Made the mistake of cancelling my virgin package and took out BT Broadband with Sky sports through NowTV on the smart TV. BUT have just found out I cant get BT Sport this way so am looking to find another way of doing things.

Wondered if I could have BT for my broadband and then Sky TV for the BT Sport - does anyone know if this would work? Argh its all too complicated for me!

That's how I do it. Sky dish lets me get TV and as I have BT broadband I can access BT Sport through Sky. Were I to pay I can also get BT AMC on Sky.

With sky, the tv signal is received through the satellite, so who you have your phone or broadband with makes no difference. Sky just ask that you have access to the internet so you can use the "on-demand" services properly.

But to get BT sport for free you have to be a BT Broadband customer.

I am a BT Broadband customer and have SKY sports from now tv so just need bt sport. Dont think its free though is it?

I have BT Broadband and a Sky+ system. Because I have BY broadband I can access BT Sport through the Sky dish.

Did you especially choose to do it that way round? And if so why?! Hoping i can persuade my family it is a good way of doing it!

We have BT broadband and Sky, I didn't know we could get BT Sport that way, do you have to do anything special to set it up?

If you go on the BT website (or phone them) it tells you what you need to do to sign up for BT sport using Sky.

Sky broadband wasn't available when I was setting it up.

I'm very happy with it.

Thanks Happydays, will do that. BT broadband is expensive so I'd like to get better value out of it.
