My tool bar at the top of IE has set itself to 'hide' mode and I don't know how to get it back permanently

is is pissing me off something chronic

Oh pleeeeease help, I keep shutting down IE by accident because the toolbar pops back again when my mouse is hovering over it to scroll up

start, control panel, taskbar and start menu...

untick the hide box and tick the lock box

oh my start menu is gorn, as well

lol,erm untick all the boxes, then tick the ones you want click OK then Apply

press your windows button to grab hold of the start menu

yes I am clicking the windows bar

have done everything you suggest Charlie and restarted twice, to no avail

am letting dp loose on it next

then will come back to you and moan when he has lost all my icons etc

It may be one of your F1 buttons, BUT ever time I touch one of them I lose more than I gain...lol..

F11 hides/shows the top stuff.
But it sounds as though yours is more than that!

Ah, apparently I had clicked "full screen" on the tools thingy
