On outlook express.

It says it is recieving 4 of 5 messgaes but has been doing so most of afternoon.

Everytime I restart I keep getting the smae few emails into my inbox.

When I first switched on today there were over 100 emails trying to come in. I got rid of those by going into my BT account bit and deleting them that way.

I want to delete or stop the 5 mesages that are trying to come in - how do I do it?

No I have deleted everything from my BT account as this happened before. I agree someone has sent something too big. I go into that through my yahoo/BT homepage. I usually managed my emails through outlook express though and rarely go into them via BT

Now I don't know what you are talking about! How do I do that??? Also would I lose all of my emails as I have some I want to keep. I just want to stop these new ones coming in. Don't care too much if I lose them....

errm... ..you've probably fixed it now but it's almost certainly to do with your email account. Quick guess that you're receiving from a POP3 account (the servers of which are particularly stupid) and you just weren't getting all of the big message, so Outlook express then didn't think it'd finished getting all the messages(correctly), so it never tells the server which ones it did manage to download.

The server then doesn't delete any of the messages and they sit there waiting for you to download them all again. Daft huh?

AH thanks HT I think that is exactly what happened but finally deleted it via my BT page.
