iPad switching off momentarily, brought up different languages saying hello and asking me to put in password.

Basically saying what I have said. My screen has gone dark grey and it's asking for me to login and put in my id and password. I'm not sure if this is legit or a scam. I have never seen it before and have had a few random emails that I've not been sure of and don't trust.

It's my other iPad btw.

iOS update? You may have clicked on 'update later' and now it's that time. iPad does say hello and the password is usually your Apple ID

So it's safe to put in my password.

I have put in my details but saying it is incorrect so I can't get into my iPad.
