Mouse touchpad not working on some users

I have a Toshiba laptop running Windows 10. I've had a couple of incidents of the mouse touchpad suddenly stopping working but only in one user. If I switch users it works fine. I tried everything I could in mouse settings but obviously slightly limited with no mouse! I ended up setting up a new user but it's just happened again. Any ideas?

Sadly, Windows 10 is having a lot of problems with touchpads. I turned off pinch-zoom on mine as it's frustrating to hit it accidentally. For the next few days, the laptop just kept blue-screening, stating there was a problem with the touchpad. Since turning the pinch-zoom back on, it stopped doing it. A quick google shows it's a common problem.

Thanks. Not found a fix for my issues yet. I think I might have to get hold of a plug in mouse and see if that helps.
