question about microsoft works database program

I've created a database (which I'm still adding to) of articles that I have.
I have inputted name, author, keywords, theory etc etc.

How do I search them? Anyone know? Have never used anything like this before so have no idea.

Click on tools then choose filters.

Select the field you want to fileter by e.g. author

Then select the comparison (is equal to, is less than etc) Then type in the compare to field

So if you want to sort by author, across the wizard you should choose
Surname is equal to Brown
This should bring up all the authors weith the surname Brown
