DS1 (5) currently plays on my very old iPad which is slowly losing the will to live. I really want to get him a refurbished iPad mini but I just can't afford the £219 it costs. The Amazon kids Fire tablet looks very good but the reviews say it's restrictive? What's the best one out there on balance in terms of cost and longevity, I.e. I want something that will suit his needs as he gets older.
