How can I/can I retrieve deleted email?

I am sure this answer is not what you're looking for but I'll say it anyway - in my email folders there is one called 'deleted'. Do you have one and have you looked there?

We might need more information.

What email provider do you use? Have you just deleted it from your inbox, or have you deleted it from your 'deleted items' or 'bin' folders too?

I have only deleted it from my inbox.
I don't know of 'deleted items'.

If I understand the bin folder, when I tap it just puts in a tick or removes a tick. I had hopes for that one.

Does it show in the bin then?

If it does, click it so that the tick appears, then click the little folder type symbol and move it back to your inbox. Then go back to your inbox, and it should be back there - it might not be at the top if you've received other emails since that one, but it should be there.

I only had two in the bin, now deleted.
But I have deleted thousands.
Can't see any little folder.

If GMAIL did you delete or archive? Gmail allows you to delete but would rather you archive, which would move it to "all mail" - or you could search for it.

Just looked on my iPad. Under Mailboxes there should be a Trash icon. Touch that and you should find all the all recently deleted emails. You can also touch the Gmail under the Accounts listing you will find the Trash icon, touch that and you will see the deleted emails.

I think that rather than deleting them, I have put them in a folder or file but don't know where to look for these.

The only way to get the search option in Mail on an iPad is as follows

1. Touch the mail account under accounts
2. Scroll down to the folder you may have put then in. Touch it.
3. A Search area will come up at the top of the list of emails. Type in a word that may locate them.

If you don't know what folder, you may have to go through them all lol
