Water on laptop

DD has dropped water on her laptop, it dripping all over it!
It won't turn on, any first aid tips we should be doing?

Don't turn it on. Unplug it. Place in a sealed container with rice in an orientation that will encourage water to drain out rather than in. Leave in container for a few days, changing rice if it gets damp.

Thank you, I've used the rice trick for an iPhone but wouldn't have thought of it for a laptop.
I'm scratching my head thinking what receptacle I could use and have realised I'm low on rice!!

Bin bag would do - as long as you can seal it so rice sucks moisture out of laptioo rather than air.
