recommendation for best speaker for listening to podcasts

Hi. I like listening to Radio 4 iplayer or podcasts, but my laptop has really pathetic speakers. Was looking at reviews for small portable speakers but several have reviews which say they cut out during pauses in speech, have poor quality for speech etc, since they are primarily designed for music. Does anyone use a good speaker to listen to speech radio off their laptop/ipad which they could recommend?

I'm not sure what your budget is or the size of speaker you require is how portable you need it to be, but you probably won't go wrong with a Bose Soundlink Mini. It's about £170 on Amazon. If this is to expensive then something like a Damson Oyster should easily fit the bill. You can easily pick one up for less than £50 even on Amazon. All this assumes that you are after a bluetooth or airplay solution and you aren't after a wired connection to your laptop.
