Help! Can anyone tell me how to get choose which device to download apps to? Every time I download an app on my kindle it puts it on my phone!!!

It's driving me crazy esp as I have no space on my phone.

I've looked at all settings I can think of, Google and amazon to no avail. I've even given it to my ds who switched of the whispersync which did work but I want to be able to read a book on two devices and for the most recent page to be kept each device.
Can this be done or do I have to choose?

I have an iPhone but is there any reason you can't just delete the unwanted apps from your phone?

I don't have many on my phone it's photos that take up the space but I want them on my fire but I don't get the choice.
It just comes up with my phone.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand. If you can't unsync your devices then download the apps you want for your kindle and then delete them immediately when they appear on your phone.

If photos are taking up space, upload the lot to Dropbox or similar and the delete them from your phone.

Sorry I'm not making myself clear, I want some apps on my kindle so I try to download them when on the kindle but they install on my phone instead. They don't install on my kindle.

I do have apps on my kindle so it worked at one time but I'm not aware of changing any settings.
