Phone receiving no email

I am not very techy, so please be gentle.

I have an I phone 5. At home we have a laptop, which uses outlook for email I think.
My phone does not use the cloud. It uses my yahoo account.

But since the weekend my phone shows no email received. But I logged into laptop today and there are 15 emails. I opened and responded , on laptop, and normally within minutes my phone shows emails sent from the laptop. But not now. But my phone is not recognising either the 15 emails I've opened, and not displaying the responses I have sent either.

It used to.

I've turned my phone off and on. What else can I try ? 0pleaee?

Think you need to reset the account. Delete the account and then reset it.

You'll also need to go into the setting for account and check how many emails it is set up to display.

Remember when setting up the email that you are required to put your password in for getting AND sending emails.... If I remember rightly, they are on different screens on the iPhone.

I had this when I changed the password on one of my accounts. You need to update the password for uour account in the setting on your phone, then it will start updating again.

My sent messages, (sent on laptop) have actually updated, but not the incoming.

Why is that?
Will get Dh to delete and re-install, I think.

Any other idea?
