Un-displaying texts on home screen.

When a text comes through, most of the message can be read from the front of te locked screen IYSWIM? How do I stop that - so that the senders name shows and not the message?

DD(6) is so nosey an has just read a very irate sweary text from a friend (having a bad week). It would help if my texts aren't shown ! How do I change this?

If it's an iPhone... Settings, notifications, messages, turn off the previews option (scroll right to bottom for this option).
