I want to send one as a birthday present, but don't have any Apple products myself, so no AppleID. I'm a bit reluctant, too, to give out my details, only to find that I can't buy across-border product!

Can you do it via the Amazon US website?

I tried to do this for dN in France. Basically you can't do it. Each country has its own Apple Store - cards/vouchers etc bought in a country will only work in that country.

Oh! I'll try Amazon US, as I've bought things from them before. Thanks,Earlybird, I'll let you know how I get on with that.

BikeRunSki, that's what I was afraid of! (the sods) I've been thinking of changing from Android to Apple for my next phone, but even that wouldn't help, as I'm in the UK!

Hurray! I've just done it on Amazon US. It was certainly more expensive than sending a voucher code by e-mail, what with forex and the payment to the retailer and shipping Shock, but... well... what can I do? I promised!

Fantastic. I'll try Amazon.fr for DN next birthday!
