HELP! I've just deleted all the photos on an SD card

and to make this even worse, its DS's camera and it had loads of photos that he took over half term when we were on holiday.
I've googled and there are loads of recovery programs but I can't find any reviews and I'm petrified I'm going to make the situation worse by downloading some dodgy software.
Can you please recommend one?

Did you delete them using a pc or directly in the camera? On the pc they would still be in your recycle bin.
I have always found software on www.cnet.com safe to download so maybe search on there?

Thanks, I'll have a look on there. I deleted them via the camera (the default is delete all rather than delete single photo).

Ouch! Hope you get them back.

Maybe take it I to a camera shop and let them do it professional. I wouldn't risk anything so precious

DH is a techy person for a well known mobile company, he recommends.downloading a program called 'recuva' he said it probably won't get them all back but it may get some back.

you have to download onto PC, put memory card into PC and then tell the program to scan the memory card.

I second Recuva. Some will be gone, but a good many will still be there. It's easy to use, and the wizard is excellent.
