I have an iPhone 4S. I am rubbish t software updates and currently have an update waiting for ios8. I need to download an app that requires ios7. Will downloading the ios8 automatically give me the ios7 or do I need to go and find it? If so, where is it?

When downloading these new operating systems, will I lose stuff already on my phone?

Are you on iOS 6? If you download 8 then all apps will work, it just means it needs7 or above. You won't ode any data when you upgrade operating system but if you have an old device it may slow down the function.

Do not get ios8 with an iphone 4s. It will run like a dog.
