My laptop is ancient & slow. I barely use it and am thinking of getting an ipad mini. I want to be able to keep lists & spreadsheets of my finances which I currently do in excel.
Can you get excel in ipad or something similar?

I think there is an excel app, but it costs. I use numbers which is free.

You can do them using GoogleDrive and GoogleSheets app.

Both are free if you have a google account.

There are also specific apps for doing personal finance.

Pocket Expense for example.

Numbers currently is £6.99 in app store. Excel is Free (though has inapp upgrades, so may cost to use after a trial period or for certain features).

Pricing of apps changes from time to time.

So simple answer is yes you can do spreadsheets on an ipad/ipad mini but there may be other apps more suited to a specific task.

An advantage of apps like GoogleSheets is that you can access your spreadsheet from a desktop computer, mobile phone, or anything that has net access. You will see what was synced with the server, so changes made offline won't be there until your ipad next gets a net connection.
