Baby apps for Android

Hiya,

My 7mo is getting very grabby - he wants to hold and investigate everything, especially if he's seen anybody else holding it and especially if it's my phone! I've tried downloading a couple of baby touch apps on Android - free and paid - but he always finds the Home button within seconds and I have to grab it back to stop him managing to phone my work or something.

Does anyone know of any apps which lock everything else out so I can safely give him my phone?

Maybe hide your stuff, but give him an inexpensive, but ideally large, solar powered calculator, with a large screen. He can push buttons to his hearts content, and start to learn his numbers, and no batteries to run out.

When he is a bit older, I often tell people that toddlers can learn music, on a REAL but not-too-expensive keyboard. Our DS started on our Yamaha organ at a few months old.

My phone's updated to the latest version of Android today (Lollipop, v5) and it has screen pinning - you can pin an app to the front so the user can't close it or switch to anything else by mistake. You hold down the Back and Switch App buttons at the same time to unpin. So I can let him have Ladybird's Animal Babies app again :)
